New Residential Construction Connection

Your Connection Starts Here...

A $50 connect fee and a $5 membership fee will be applied to your first month’s bill.

You may be required to pay a deposit, based on the most recent 12 months’ history with the utility provider.

You must contact your local parish office to obtain proper permits prior to connection.  You can find local parish permit office information here.

Upon receipt of this application, a SLEMCO account will be set up within two business days. You will receive an email with your new account information. If additional information is needed, you will receive a phone call from a SLEMCO representative. If you do not receive an email from our office within two business days, please contact our Service Department at 337-896-5551.

After you receive your new account information, a SLEMCO representative will be in contact to meet with you.

Deposit Requirements

If you have had no more than 2 late payments in the past 12 consecutive months, we will be able to waive the deposit.  If the history on your account is not acceptable, a deposit will be required.  See deposit requirements by clicking here.

If you have had power with another electrical provider in the past 12 consecutive months, you may obtain a letter of credit.  Please have all letters of credit sent to service@slemco.com or faxed to 337.896.2540.  If the history on your account is not acceptable, a deposit will be required.  See deposit requirements by clicking here.
