Schools That Qualify:
The SLEMCO Scholarship application deadline and selection for 2026 has passed.
Remember, the recipients will be chosen in a random drawing. The sponsoring member (or member’s spouse) must be present at the annual meeting on June 13, 2026 at the Cajundome. If the sponsoring member is not present at the meeting, the student will not receive the scholarship should his/her name be called.

If you missed this year, don’t worry, set your calendars for February 2027 to fill out your scholarship application.
Applications are accepted February 1, 2027 through May and applicants or their sponsoring family member must attend the annual meeting in June 2027.
Each year SLEMCO members can enter a random drawing to win one of 20 college scholarships worth $2,000 each for either themselves or their dependent children. The funds can be used by undergraduate students to attend any public or private Louisiana University or trade school as accredited by the University of Louisiana System; Louisiana State University System, Southern University System, Louisiana Community, and Technical College System, Louisiana Board of Regents Proprietary School System, Louisiana Association of Independent Colleges and Universities or the US Department of Education. Graduate or doctoral students do not qualify.
